Day 49 - PV

Yesterdays weight: 71.1 Kg

Todays Weight: 71.1 Kg

Breakfast: oatbran porridge with cocoa

Lunch: 6 slices of chicken with stuffing with light coleslaw and 2 x light leerdammer

Dinner: 1 onion 1 carrot lots of chicken and brocolli in stock with chilli oil and soy

Snacks: coconut yog with light cocoa, and at work we had our cake competition and somehow a load of cake fell in my mouth.. well I had to have a little taste. I feel v guilty but I do just need to think its one day and Im back on track tomorrow.

Day 48 - PP

Breakfast: oatran and light choc porridge

Lunch: the rest of the coronation chicken sandwich filler, and 2 slices of low fat leerdammer and 3 small slices salami

Dinner: 2 mustard and honey chicken, my mum..ahem marks and spencers made dinner
Snacks: well i didnt snack as such but I did have a boiled sweet at work that my friend brought back from her travels and seriously I couldnt put my finger on what flavour it was, total waste of calories oh and i pinched 2 chips from my mums plate its technically okay because it wasnt on my plate right?

Summary: I have spent a full evening baking and I am thinking this cake looks weird and I feel a little embarrassed to hand this into work tomorrow but never mind.. I have lost a little today but I am sure all of the icing testing will catch up with me very shortly

Day 47 - PV

Breakfast: oatbran and light cocoa porridge

Lunch: m and s chicken and stuffing slices x 6 i used them as a sandwich with a little low fat coleslaw and reduced fat leerdammer inbetween, lush!!

Dinner: I had a strange dinner.. I CBA cooking tonight after the madeleines last night, I have to bake a banana and choccy walnut cake for work tomorrow and then some natas for monday.. :-D
I had a tablespoon of m and s coronation chicken sandwich spread and a tin of smoked tuna with a little light coleslaw and reduced fat leerdammer and some yellow pepper

Day 46 - PP

Yesterdays weight: 72 Kg

Todays Weight: 71.4 Kg up down up down up down! please stay down

Breakfast: light choc oatbran porridge

Lunch: m and s piri piri chicken and a babybel x light

Dinner: venison steak in a small amount of salsa verde butter was heavenly will a little light choices halloumi

Snacks: Well I have baked 2 batches of honey and vanilla madeleines, on with flour and one gluten free. I tried the tip of one of each I can honestly say the flavour of the gluten free one is just as good as that of the ordinary one and the pictures show the gluten free is slighly paler, nothing that a metal madeleine pan wont cure hopefully. I used a silicone one and I think that hasnt heated us as much so there isnt as much browning on the molded shape as I would have liked.

I want a dukan friendly madeleine and come the weekend I can give it a go.. i live for spare time in which I can bake in

Summary: Well i can honestly say today was similar to yesterday, roll on friday!

Day 45 - PV

Todays Weight: 72 Kg Oh noes! I guess yet again I havent been to the loo in a few.. well until today..
just what you want to hear

Breakfast: 1/12th of the lush bread with light butter and marmite, I have noticed I am a little flatulent on the bread..

Lunch: tuna nicoise with no potatoes 1 slice ham with xtra light soft cheese

Dinner: steak with a little garlic and parsley butter, asparagus and some roast tomatoes and a little light coleslaw, i love coleslaw i would choose it any day over cake!

Snacks: pepperami and a light vanilla yogurt

Summary: hard day today, just going to right it off

Breakfast: 1/12 of the flax bread with a little xl philly, marmite and slice of ham

Lunch: 1/12 flax bread with a little butter and marmite

Dinner: lamb with a small amount of smoked paprika butter and some halloumi

Snacks: coconut yogurt and light cocoa

Summary: did not leave the house today.. Hmmmm

Day 43 - PV

Yesterdays weight: 72 Kg

Todays Weight: 71.5 Kg

Breakfast: 6 X chicken and stuffing slices from m and s

Lunch: shopping in town, very tired and hungry and slipped up with an apple juice, tasted soo sweet though!

Dinner: I had a cajun tuna steak, it really was cooked to perfection! I served it with some light coleslaw which I added some carrot to and, salad and asparagus

Snacks: 1/6th of oatbran and lax bread from http://charlottesdukandiet.wordpress.com/2011/09/24/day-48-cruise-pp/#comment-1694 Oh my it was so delicious, its a little more than the recommended flax intake apparently but oh so worth it, one of those things I am incorporating and then will remove at times of stagnating weight. I had it with some light cheese a tiny bit of light butter a little marmite and a slice of ham.

Summary: Well yesterday I baked a cake and decorated half of it pretty for a friend and the other half not so good because its ending up in my dads belly anyway.. I have been making icing flowers today, seriously why I thought they'd be a doddle i'll never know. I want to post some photos but my camera is reluctant to switch on, and I seriously hope its just the battery, I dont keep cameras for very long and with this one I can honestly say I havent dropped it, wet it or sat on it so its anyones guess whats wrong with it.
Its saturday night, I should be out I guess, my girlfriends are on holiday so I guess I will allow myself out next weekend to hear all about magaluf, who knows maybe they'll be T total for a while when they get back..

Day 42 - PP

Yesterdays weight: 72 Kg

Todays Weight: 72 Kg

Breakfast: usual porridge, and work bought us breakfast which we had at 12, 2 skinny sausages and a fried egg with a little b sauce.

Lunch: chicken on skewers, wasnt too hungry really but it was too nice to waste and I am not good at wasting anything, I guess i overthink these things sometimes

Dinner: chicken in a small amount of garlic and parsely butter

Snacks: few squares of diabetic chocolate, not really a winner but i still had more than one piece.

Summary: well I didnt exactly have any veg except some pepper that was on a chicken skewer, lets call it some seasoning. However I brought in some biskwits from bucharest and well I had to taste them didnt I,, I had two small raisin biccys and a peanut butter one OMG!! Well good job Im not going out tonight because I would not be able to avoid a drink or 10 or food after that so I really cant trust myself yet! I have a dinner to go to on 7th October so I should like to be extremely well behaved until then as I have to plan for falling of the wagon a little, it is inevitable and its not about denying yourself 100% of the time, I should look at the progress I have made instead of dwelling on the negatives really, I dont eat half as much so thats good..

Day 41 - PP (..not)

Todays Weight: 72 Kg - I have realised its been a few days since I have been to the loo, so perhaps its
worth looking for some fybogel

Breakfast: oatbran with light choc

Lunch: chicken slices and some light egg sandwich filler

Dinner: 1 chicken schnitzel some halloumi and yes..coleslaw..im hooked on coleslaw and halloumi and OMG i would love that in a baguette.. see it could be worse?

Snacks: 3 slices salami..

Summary: so I really need to adhere to pure protein tomorrow if it kills me, or maybe have veg and then 3 pp days? im thinking one on one off is far better for me, until you cut them out you dont realise just how much of them you eat, I have always eaten healthy but I have always had large portions of veg along with meals, for instance pasta with a side salad or crudites throughout the day with dip or jacket potatoes with lots of veg on the side, which I guess there is a healthy element but now after stepping away and examining it I also realise that perhaps wasnt the healthiest choice either and the best thing for me is the train myself to eat less, eat sensible portions and definately no second or thirds! (well maybe at christmas, but only for the 1 day not for the build up to christmas and the time after it, i will end up a big pudding if i do that!)

Breakfast: sleep in.. back to work tomorrow

Lunch: garlic sausage with some half fat cheese slices. 1/2 a tin of smoked tuna

Dinner: chicken schnitzel and coleslaw mainly carrot, wish I hadnt though..

Snacks: Pepperami, tried some of my mums dinner a diced piece of chicken in curry sauce a floret of
romanescu and a baby corn, tried s tsp of dads lemon trifle

Summary: I feel like i have done nothing but eat..oh dear

Day 39 - PP

Yesterdays weight: 73.5 - after a week of bread, rice, potato, pasta for breakfast - not too bad I guess, i tried a little of everything. I did not have large portions, I had mainly meat and cheese and a bite here and there of the carbs or just carbs at one daily meal.

Todays weight: 72.6 close to my leaving weight so I havent done too bad really, I just hope its not too difficult getting back to my regime

Breakfast: scrambled eggs x 2 and smoked proscuitto

Lunch: went shopping and bought some trainers :-)

Dinner: Naughty I know but I had lamb cooked in a little oil and then added some paprika butter, to accompany this I had some full fat halloumi which was fried in a little oil and oregano..Ooops but OMG the best meal in a while. I liked the romanian food very much, there is a lot of cabbage based dishes and tonights dinner was so tasty..

Snacks: coconut yogurt with light cocoa

Summary: after buying all the sachets of light hot choc and taking the oatbran with me again..no discipline there. I dont think my brother had a microwave but one thing was certain they would not let us make our own breakfast, they waited on us hand and foot, not something i'm used to. Anyhow, breakfasts were very pleasant we had feta cheese, tomatoes, olives, cucumber, a selection of meats and a little pasta with sweet milk, all very delicious!
I could not wait to get home as I thought I would have gained aleast 5 pounds.. I am very good at gaining weight.. lots of practice I guess. Now that i'm home I feel a little lost and would love to go back. Work again on thursday so back to reality. I hope everyone else had a good week.

Day 37 - PP

Yesterdays weight: 72 Kg

Todays weight: 72.4 Kg, it was inevitable but is still heading toward the right side of the scale

Breakfast: the usual

Lunch: pepperami and an omelette (small) which consisted of meatballs and halloumi

Dinner: another small omelette and a tuna steak and a piece of half fat cheese wrapped around smoked salmon and creamcheese sandwich filler. Well sad, I had to make a lasagne for my dad to have in and it smelt beautiful and cheesey and pastaey and creamy peppery..drooling! maybe if i get some shirataki noodles i can do something similar without the little bit of butter..

Snacks: coconut yogurt with hot choc light powder

Summary: Not a bad day, hoping to get back to 72 or maybe 72.2 for my big day tomorrow, will allow myself a few sweets on the plane because you cant fly without sweets.. you dont gain weight at that altitude surely? ha ha, excuses excuses! Well I am nearly packed and ready to go, now for some beauty sleep :-)

Day 36 - PP

Todays weight: 72 Kg, well again if I gain a little tomorrow its no biggie :-)

Breakfast: Oat bran porridge with light hot choc

Lunch: chicken slices with light coleslaw

Dinner: half a dry chicken breast (cant beat mums cooking :-S) and some tenderstem brocolli

Snacks: babybel and mattersons chicken pieces

Summary: Again I am up and about late making cakes, this time I am making a batch of muffins for my mum wheatfree ofcourse and using the rest of the batter for a cake for my dad to have with cups of tea, it smells good and I guess I have to taste if its nice? It is my usual orange cake batter that I pretty much do in my sleep now so believe me, I have tried it.

Day 35 - PP

Todays weight: 72.4 Kg

Breakfast: babybel light

Lunch: smoked tuna and a little low fat salad cream.. I need to shop for cupboard ingrediants I have nothing to come back to from my holiday.. on tuesday, it was like 4 weeks ago a couple of days ago it feels :-O

Dinner: 5 beef meatballs with a tomato basil sauce, I have never been so full since like yesterday. I am thinking my appetite has definately decreased somewhat as I would usually have the portion I had tonight combined with linguine!

Snacks: coconnut yogurt mixed with low cal hot choc

Summary: Went to tesco today got loads of unhealthy food for dad for when were away, doesnt look like our fridge. Need to make him a lasagne and a few meals and a healthy treat for when were gone. got some oatbran to take with me and also some sachets of low cal hot chocolate, if im going to be naughty then I alteast want to keep to a healthy breakfast.
Out for lunch tomorrow, already trying to decide what to have.. I might just have a pack lunch and get a coffee. hmmm! but then I would like to take advantage of the veg thing and maybe get some greek salad, decisions, decisions!

Day 34 - PV

Yesterdays weight: 73 Kg

Todays weight: 72.5 Kg RESULT..so happy with that I am going to boots to get a receipt printed with that on the weigh machine!! okay so their machine I always way a little more and I have just scoffed a pound of salmon but hey it should be one of my lowest weigh ins there in years!! The pessimist/realist in me is thinking there will be a gain tomorrow but will hopefully leave me weighing less than yesterday..fingers crossed!!

Breakfast: half fat cheese with some salmony cream cheese in yum! thank god for m & s sandwich fillers (probably not the lowest in fat but i have eated in quite often and not done too badly.. the cheese is low fat and boy it tastes that way!)

Lunch: packet of smoked salmon 100g.. ugh I feel sicky smokey salmon overload!!
Saturday shopping times, going to get my boobies measured as im thinking they have shrunk somewhat..result again, I can almost reach my short arms around to fasten my bra as opposed to putting it over my head :-)
Need some trainers as the ones I bought in march are falling to pieces, obviously a sign that i walk a lot or I am so heavy that my shoes cave in..

Dinner: I made a vegetable moussakka using minced mushrooms, celery, carrot, and aubergine. I used a little cornflour and skim milk for the white sauce and half fat grated cheese, was rather yummy and had some low fat coleslaw with it, and OMG I was full so quickly I couldnt finish either!

Snacks: I may have a piece of diabetic chocolate or two later.. the coffee one is okay.

Summary: Well has been a good couple of days. I made an effort when I went out today, I put foundation on and heels, i must wear foundation like once a year I am a lazy bugger really. Felt good. Hope every one is having a wonderful weekend

Day 33 - PP

Breakfast: O.B porridge W S/Milk and Light Cocoa

Lunch: 1 pepperami and 2 balsamic and chilli onion and halloumi fritattas (made in a yorkshie

pudding tin 2 eggs yields 4 omelettes) Sooo tasty, recipe to follow!!
Dinner: I wasnt too enthused really, 2 venison burgers which i didnt cook for very long at all and the lovely (sure..) half fat cheese slices on top, left a bit of one though because i just wasnt that into it.

Snacks: Summary: this is the best the half fat cheese singles have tasted, i put some salmon creamcheese mousse inside and rolled it into a cigar.. was a really tasty and satisfying snack, i had 2. I also had a fruit flavour yogurt and a skinny mocha coffee cooler

Summary: Well today had been interesting, I have been quite busy. Got some money exchanged for my trip,, means its getting close. I have had the case down and started packing.. I even got the hoover out, not like me at all! I saw the lady in the cake shop and as i was walking there I was thinking I dont really have the time, anyhow it didnt all sell, infact she still had a couple of pieces on sale..eww! Not my place to tell her that its been a bit too long, surely she has a calendar and some common sense. any how she said it was nice but they dont get much call for gluten free, i think if people are aware its there and that the option is available they may be interested. surely you dont just rely on people occaisonally asking, you put it out there that such a thing is available? I had been keeping an eye, and to be honest the shop did not look busy in the heavy downpour on saturday, even less so on sunday when it wasnt open at all.. a cafe not open on a sunday in the shopping town? seriously? any how, I am a little releived that I am not tied down to making cakes on a regular basis at present, but I would like to going forward.

Dont you just feel there are so many things you want to persue and never enough time for it? really there is though, I honestly waste so much of it daydreaming.. I must do!
Sorry for the ramblings, very tired again, and should probably do some more packing whilst im on a role! and burn off the calories from that sugary stuff today!!

NAUGHTIES: Before this escapes me, I have also had a fruit pastille (green one, i love them!) and half a tsp of sugar in my coffee, i really needed it this morning and i didnt bring any sweetner out with me.

Day 32 - PV

Breakfast: oatbran with light cocoa and skim milk - struggled to eat it, felt rather full
Lunch: pack of ham and some extra light philly, again, weird struggled to eat it but just about managed
Dinner: I had a chicken breast with some halloumi and wrapped in fat off bacon with brocolli and carrot, again felt full very quickly.
I made some little quiches with prosuitto, halloumi and chilli and balsamic onions for lunch tomorrow and tried one although i was bursting at the seams..delicious!
Snacks: few cups of tea
Summary: Well today I haven't really felt hungry at all! I am back at the weight I was before seeing dolly, however I would do it again, it was a great couple of days and well worth gaining a pound for!
I cant believe I am travelling again on wednesday, I go to Bucharest for my brothers wedding. I want to look good, and if I am honest this is the event that sparked this whole thing. Its bizarre how looking good matters so much and weight loss is always the first place i look. But hey you look better you feel better.. I dont dont think I have lost enough to feel too contented though.
Packing my case this time is a very different experience, I am not just picking out cover up clothes, there are a few things I actually like going into the mix, just hope all goes well and I can get to 72kg before 14th September.. seriously everyone cross everything for me! Thanks.. Much appreciated ;-P

Day 30 - A WHOLE MONTH (not consecutive but hey!)

Yesterdays weight: 73.5kg

Todays weight: 73.4kg ohhh so slowly

Breakfast: oatbran with skim milk and light cocoa

Lunch: 1 low fat sausage, salami, garlic sausage

Dinner: halloumi and squash omelette with salad






I have added the halloumi to the squash and garlic and 2 tsp of balsamic vinegar


Finished omelette, be careful not to overbrown the halloumi to start with as the bottom will burn a little


Some Light coleslaw with added carrot to make it go a little further and be a little lighter



What a massive plate of food! Kept me from snacking after though!
Summary: Well I had a great big salad, but hey I cant feel guilty for that surely..?

Breakfast: oatbran with light cocoa

Lunch: 8 slices of lean ham and reduced fat egg mayo and some slices of low fat.. slightly vomit flavoured cheese

Dinner: chicken pieces covered in parmesan and oatbran with tzaziki on the side.. yes a little cucumber in there too!

Summary: Not a bad day really, crossing my fingers for the scales tomorrow. was a little bad last night and made a cup of soup, it smelled foul and tasted nasty too but I wanted it..oh dear

Day 28 - PV

Breakfast: missed the boat again

Lunch: 2 low carb sausages, 3 strips of turkey bacon, 1 fried egg and a squirt of low ketchup, and a coffee with 2 sweetners and skim milk

Dinner: prawn salad made with light mayo, lime and lemon juice, low salt and sugar ketchup and paprika


Snacks: Skinny mocha coffee cooler

Summary: So, I haven't lost anything today but on the plus side I haven't gained. I really wanted to do another attack phase but I was really craving some kind of crunch, anyhow I did my research for lowest carb veg and green peppers, romaine lettuce, spring onions and cucumber are all quite low on the list so I thought I'd allow it, and its far better than what I was eating on my mini break thats for sure. I am thinking though,  whilst I ate all of the wrong things I did eat a smaller amount, and got full quicker. I was really full after an average piece of lasagne, normally I would go for seconds.. things are happening! All good! :-)

Yesterdays weight: no clue, it was 73kg before dolly

Todays weight: 73.7kg just a little gain considering.. i did terrible. I had butties, crisps, lasagne, egg baguette, more crisps, pints of wine, biscuits, pasta, chips, mousakka, rice, more biscuits and a burger.. uh ohh! I have no control whatso ever when it comes to these situations. I just hope I can be a little stronger when I go to bucharest in less than 2 weeks. I will bring my oatbran with me!

Breakfast: too late

Lunch: 4 sausages with a little ketchup and a fried egg

Dinner: skinny frappelatte , 2 egg omelette made with a spoonful of extra light philly, chopped spring onion to season and proscuitto. I had a little halloumi with this, was delish

 Snacks: coconut yogurt and 2 tsp of light cocoa powder

Summary: So. I have been relatively good today apart from a few naughty smints which will hardly compare to the last few days.

I am really keeping an eye on the scales and will have to be so carefull because of my last few days which I dont want to catch up with me. I have a bit of a headcold right now so will have to save the gym for monday and aim to go 3 days this week.  I am probably going to eat protein only for the next few days. I was craving green beans tonight though. Hopefully, if I have the will power I can have just protein for 5 days which will be like another attack phase, looking forward to mondays scale reading hopefully it will reveal a pound or so loss!

Good luck to everyone else who is dieting or has fallen off the wagon a little, seriously , pick yourself up and carry on. If I can do it so can you!
