Lunch: Onion soup, deliciouso, my mum is getting annoyed with me for eating soup too often and wants to see me eat solid food, this in rather annoying as, I am not feeling great so really fancy soup. I have previously had a few minor issues with food, but we are talking way back, and I am on no mission to starve myself, its rather irritating, she keeps telling me how massive I was, saying I resembled the hunch back of notre dame, and now shes saying i have a scrawny neck and that I look gaunt. I still have weight to loose and I could do with out the constant criticism.

Dinner: 4... yes 4 sausages with gravy and carrots

Snacks: I made banana chocoloate ginger and walnut cupcakes for work tomorrow and I had to try one..

Dinner: major fatty boom boom! I made a chicken Korma with Rice etc, rice for the family, I had a small tsp to try and then just chicken in the sauce which did have coconut milk in, but I have checked all the carbs etc and they werent terrible, the fat however is a different matter.

Snacks: chicken satay skewers, was so hungry in town after the gym. Also a skinny mocha coffee cooler, 6 squares of diabetic chocolate

Summary: I am FULL, I have spent the day looking in charity shops for a wedding dress to alter for my halloween corpse bride costume, well some are just sooo expensive, yes there were newish dresses and im sure £400 is a fair price but some of them are right out of the eighties and had £200-300 stickers one, and they did look as though they had spent a long while in the shops.
Anyhow, thankfully I have connections, and a lovely friend of mine put two dresses aside for me, these are size 12, well heres me thinking I am 12-14 lets have a go, they do not zip up very far at all :-(, they are high necked and my boobies like to be a little free-er than that, so I am having to give them a total revamp if I am to wear them. I organised my costume last year in my head and suprise suprise nothing happened I wanted to dress like siobhan from shakspears sister stay with the tinsel on my head and the glittery suit, but hey there is a movie/film theme. To top it off, with the unfinishes dress I could not resist getting a mask of dolly's head so I maywell be dolly parton corpse bride, atleast it will be original, haha!

Lunch: I had half a pack of sweet chilli chicken from yesterday and a 'skinny' mocha frappe, the guy put some chocolate ice cream in it so im sure it aint skinny and will have to go elsewhere were the word skinny means skinny. Dinner: was scrummylicious, M&S chicken tikka with raita, chunks of chicken in a spieced seasoning with a raita dip and approx 3g of carbs in the pack oh and im not a fan of microwavables usually but also it was ready in under 2 minutes how could I resist! tasted as good as a takeaway! I had a cup of cucumber with this, I wasnt planning on letting andy veg in today but cucumber is rather low in carbs and Im sure a little is safe... safer than a slice of bread or a pastry anyway!
Snacks: Pepperami. I have stocked up on some diabetic chocolate from boots and its fine, I am not a huge lover of really sweet things so it works for me, may have a few cubes of that and a yogurt.
Summary: Fingers crossed for tomorrows scale session!

Lunch: well.. quite a mixture, sweet chilli chicken pieces, tomato soup and my friend gave me a mushroom quiche (no pastry ofcourse) and I nibbled that also

Dinner: well, I made some veg to accompany my steak and OMG my steak smelled rancid, it was one day out but WOW!! ick! so I had my mushrooms and asparagus that i had fried with a little cream, and then I made some onion soup as I have become hooked on the stuff, i added half a glass of wine which was rather bad, and thinking about it im sure it would have tasted decent with out it. I also had a boiled egg. sounds like bits and pieces, boy was i full.. not good.
Snacks: heres when the naughties really come in, for the last 2 days I have eaten 4 squares of chocolate, FOUR, normally one or two or four once in a very blue moon but not 2 days in a row. I am still under the weather and not able to go to the gym, and im forgetting all the empty calories in my drinking session on friday.. dont know carb contents in vodka but im guessing its not the most dukan
friendly thing there is, it has to be said I am feeling very disappointed with oneself.

Summary: I have made something of a hash of my diet really, but I shall fear not. This is going to be a fabulous week and thats a promise!

Todays weight: 70.8 Kg finally down again.. a weekend of drinking so isnt worth the set backs!

Breakfast: choccy porridge

Lunch: 3 chipolatas and 2 slices chicken and stuffing

Dinner: venison and mushroom soup from a tin.. and 1/12 flaxy bread comfort for a cold in the form of tinned soup, 16g of carbs. I thought about having half a can but then, im not allowed the other half tomorrow and probably wont fancy the day after.
snacks: atkins advantage bar.. has a strange flavour after a few bites
Summary: feel very drained, looking forward to the weekend.. and a lie in on sunday! :-)

Day 59 - PP

Yesterdays weight: 70.8 Kg

Todays Weight: 69.8 Kg a whole Kg gone.. that almost never happens :-)

Breakfast: Oatbran Porridge with the addition of the Light Cocoa, just right today
Lunch: Well I forgot my original lunch, so plan B was m&s Chicken skewers (15.? g carbs in 4) which I removed the red peppers from x 2, I used to eat the four but I actually stopped when I felt a bit on the full side, whereas the 4 used to just satisfy me.

Dinner: Well, I gave in to some tomatoes, 4 cherry tomatoes as I had no onion to add to my omelette, in the grand scheme of things I dont think that 4 small tomatoes has a large carb conent. In order for Ketosis apparently you are looking to consume below 50g carbs per day and I honestly dont think they will push me over that.
light halloumi in the omelette and smoked tuna on the side
I have really been closely inspecting carbs recently and have found that a lot of the yogurts no matter how low fat and sweetend with everything but sugar arent always a low carb option, my fave coconut one is approx 10g as is the vanilla low fat one I used to get from M&S, its just a case of re-educating myself. I have also done a bit of reading on healthy carb consumption and I feel once I am past the stages and continuing with the oatbran and the 1 PP day I will be extra careful with the kind of carbs I consume, I dont want carb overdosing to be an everyday thing ever again, because lets face it we dont need them in excess and they are in a lot of naughty things! Okay so brown rice and the occaisonal spud etc isnt going to harm me, but it we actually break it down and think what the majority of people eat in the UK and a lot of the world really from start to finish in the day carbs are a huge staple, cereal, sandwiches, pasta, rice, potatoes, snacking on biscuits, cakes or crisps, there are more exciting alternatives!! .. well maybe not always, some days you really cant beat a bag of salt and vinegar.
Snacks: 1 low cal blueberry and blackcurrant jelly (under 2g carbs) 2 slices or half fat cheese with some salmon creamcheese spread on and 1/12 flaxseed and oatbran bread with some salmon and creamcheese sandwich spead, A clever idea with those flaxseed breads would be a bagel, or even like little miss contrary did, some buns.. genius!

Summary: Well, I am sorry I haven't written much this week, I am suprised I even posted. It has felt like if I dont post I will quickly lose the habit of this diet and fail, and for another I enjoy posting. I have had rather a busy week professionally dividing myself between departments so feel a little drained from that apart from my ear infection which doesnt seem to want to leave me.
The work social on friday was a great event and I behaved myself on the food most of the night, but the alcohol did flow and well, I lost count, it was something of a set back but I got straight back into it.. none of my hangover grazing, infact I managed to dodge the sore head alltogether.. spooky!
I am really looking forward to the weekend, looking forward to doing a spot of real cooking and just relaxing a little.. with a gym session or 2 slotted in somewhere :-) Any how, hope everyones week is going well also. Keep up the good work, Cookie x

Yesterdays weight: 70.6Kg

Todays weight: 70.3Kg

Breakfast: oatbran porridge made with skim milk powder

Lunch: well i have to say.. epic fail really. it was UK cooking day and it was miserable outside so I ended up having a try of the delights on offer, I tried some cottage pie and even let a little potato pass my lips, I tried chicken curry which was scrummy, but contained veg like courgette and peppers, so not too awful. I had a banger and some powdered gravy, some multicoloured jelly, a tiny slice of quiche, a quarter of a scotch egg, and tried some huge sausage roll, mainly meat not pastry. oh and the icing off a cupcake... duh duh duhhh!

Dinner: well thought as I went so overboard I would redeem myself with a dukan dinner, I could have just had a piece of meat but noo, i insisted on making pancakes and ended up adding a spoonful of coconut flour as it wasnt going well, I managed to make a few and gosh, they were gritty, so I had a few mouthfuls of pancake and got frustrated so i ended up having a tablespoon of half fat double cream for dinner, terrible choice really but omg delicious!

Summary: enchala for a better day tomorrow!! Hope everyone else has had a good week

Tuesday, 4 October 2011

Day 53 - PPish

Yesterdays weight: 70.9Kg

Todays weight: 70.6Kg

Breakfast: oatbran porridge with full fat milk, eww, it was not good made me feel a little sicky all morning

Lunch: well today was latin america cooking day at work, lots of rice, rice and rice pudding, well I got out with only having a slice of banana dipped in caramel and 5 nachos, it shouldnt have been anything really, fancy having a week of food competitions and a party on the friday in which many a person will be having to fit in their formal attire! i got an email with this attachment http://caloriecount.about.com/just-say-no-refuse-food-b534255?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter_20111004&utm_term=continue1 about refusing food, so I guess theres a sign, im going to have a read of it and see if I can turn around my attitude! I was looking forward to being a little naughty food wise on friday at the formal meal and maybe the breakfast the company is buying but OMG excess!!

Dinner: tin of smoked tuna with half a disc of baked goats cheese and some light mayo, was okay..

Summary: well very tired today, I dont have a cold per say or even whats been going around causing absences. I have an ear infection and am very slow and incapable of walking in a straight line so theres a good enough excuse to stay away from the drink on friday! I am going to attempt to make the pancakes with no oatbran http://dukanblogging.blogspot.com/2011/09/day-4-consolidation-oat-bran-free.html thanks to vicki for posting this recipe!

Monday, 3 October 2011

Breakfast: The porridge

Lunch: some goulash, a small try of lasagne 1 small puff pastry and 1 nata, terrible but people wanted me to try things

Dinner: went to a friends for dinner and a pottery lesson, I had sausage casserole and it was delicious, okay so its meant to be PP day , it had yellow and red peppers and tomatoes, was lush really!
Summary: terrible day food wise, and must go to bed as I have got a banging headache, hope this goes for tomorrow

Yesterdays weight: 70.8Kg

Dinner: roasted pepper and tomato soup, meatballs

Summary: think i may be coming down with something. I went to the gym so maybe I am just tired from that. I did some weights and okay so its been almost a month since my last visit but I had to go down on the weight.. will have to build this back up again!

Saturday, 1 October 2011

Day 50 - PP

Yesterdays weight: 71.1 Kg

Todays Weight: 70.8 Kg so the cake tasting hasnt caught up with me yet.. will probably hit on monday or tuesday

Breakfast: baked the special yummy flax and oatbran bread, I have been meaning to post a link to the recipe, so here it is http://charlottesdukandiet.wordpress.com/2011/01/27/recipe-oatbran-flaxmeal-foccacia-style-bread/ Thank you so much for posting this Charlotte :-D
I had my bread fresh from the oven cut into 12 slices, I had 2 with a little light lurpack and some smoked salmon pate (smoked salmon and cream cheese mixed..from m and s)
Lunch: went out shopping and bought 2 delicious little dresses from river island and well if I end up wearing one on friday ill take a photo and add it here maybe, see if i can spot any difference from my previous photos, its so much easier when you are looking at 2 photos of yourself as opposed to looking in the mirror from one day to the next

Dinner: well, hmm. I had venison (first try) it was okay, i may have over done it slightly it was medium and i like as raw as possible but it was pleasant enough, i had light halloumi on the side and tried some of my mums baked goats cheese, it was scrumptious but not dukan friendly.
Snacks: coconut yog with light cocoa (its probably not allowed but its my absolutte fave and i have a few a week, i have compared the carb and cal content and its much the same as some of the fruit flavoured low fat yogurts)

Summary: well i had an organised day..whoppee! So I have organised my summer winter wardrobe and thin fat wardrobe, I have never realised just how much black I wear!! possibly because its supposedly slimming! One of the dresses I bought in RI today was multi coloured block stripes and a body con tube dress, unfortunately its going back as the zip stands out, looks terrible and the dress itself doesnt really need a zip, its a jersey tube, seriously! what a shame, however I am keeping the short black number :-)
